Fair Usage Policy

This Fair Usage Policy explains how Samajh AIya keeps the platform fast, reliable and affordable for every student. Our Pro plan is designed to feel truly unlimited for regular, human-paced learning. To protect the experience for everyone, we apply reasonable usage guardrails on shared AI resources.

Why we have a Fair Usage Policy

AI-powered explanations, quizzes, mock tests, document processing and voice lessons rely on expensive compute and third-party AI services. A small number of accounts using the platform in automated or non-human ways can degrade quality and slow things down for genuine learners. Fair use lets us keep pricing low while ensuring consistent performance.

What "Unlimited*" means on the Pro plan

"Unlimited" on Pro means unlimited for typical daily study — creating subjects and chapters, exploring concepts, taking quizzes and mock tests, uploading study material, chatting with AIya, generating visual illustrations and running family quests. Regular learners will almost never notice a limit.

Where fair-use guardrails apply

To keep the platform healthy, soft monthly guardrails apply to activities such as:

• Number of subjects, chapters and concepts organised in your learning space.
• Quizzes, mock tests and mastery activities generated by AI.
• Document, image and textbook uploads processed via OCR, including per-file size.
• Conversations and messages with the AIya learning companion.
• Generated visual illustrations, diagrams and richer AI-credit-based features.

These guardrails are tuned well above what a dedicated student needs in a month. They are not meant to restrict genuine learning — they exist to prevent misuse.

What counts as unfair or abusive usage

• Automated scripts, bots, scrapers or API-style access to platform features.
• Sharing a single account across many users, classrooms or coaching batches.
• Bulk uploads or bulk generation clearly beyond individual student use.
• Reselling AI outputs or using the platform to power another product or service.
• Attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas or platform safeguards.

How we enforce fair usage

When an account approaches or exceeds fair-use guardrails, we may:

• Show an in-app notice explaining that a feature is temporarily slowed or paused.
• Apply short-term rate limits on high-cost AI actions for that account.
• Reach out to understand your use case and help you get back to normal usage.
• Suspend or restrict access in cases of clear abuse, fraud or Terms violations.

Wherever possible, we prefer to warn first and act later. Genuine students should rarely, if ever, encounter these actions.

Free plan

The Free plan includes a smaller monthly allowance of AI-powered actions so students can try Samajh AIya without commitment. When Free-plan allowances are used up, you can wait for the next cycle or upgrade to Pro for uninterrupted learning.

Changes to fair-use guardrails

As AI models, infrastructure costs and usage patterns evolve, we may adjust fair-use guardrails to keep the platform sustainable. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and we will communicate significant updates in-app or via email where appropriate.
